My journey in a new direction

One of those days….

One of those days

Have you ever had 'one of those days?'

There are days and there are days.

This is one of those days when no matter what direction you try to go, you find it just is not going to work. We all have days like this, when you feel that your best option is to just crawl back under the covers and avoid the whole day.  One day last week, it was a Monday,  I really had my attendance email heading in the wrong directions. Well, after some clarification at several points, I discovered that I was not alone with what some call the Monday Morning Syndrome.  I just had to step forward from there and turn the rest of the day around.  I did a pretty good job of it too.

When days like this happen, how we react is important. We have to be able to adapt to challenges that drop in our lap. We have to know how to change directions if necessary. This does not come easily to all of us. There are some people who come to a complete stop, they are frozen, and unable to make a decision about what to do.  Others, can just say… “OK, since I cannot do that, I will just have to do this!”  You can learn to be able to adapt to obstacles that come your way, I know that I have.  This blog is one of them.  I am learning on the job here and moving forward one day at a time. Exploring my options, searching other blogs.

One prime source for information has been Christina at CashCampfire. From her blog, I have found a wealth of information as well as a free e-book to get me started. It was there I also learned about Kent Ninomiya and his book Secrets to Making Money with Demand Studios .  Between the two of them, I have quite a bit of reading to do.  I have a road map to work out, subjects I feel good enough about to present as articles. Since I work at a college, there is a multitude of data I can access concerning grammar (my weak point).  More reading to do!  At least, if I have one of these days in the near future, I now have several directions to turn to to keep myself busy.

Most importantly… I have to Believe in myself.
